Meet your local pet care experts.

Caring for pets... and their people, too.

VCA Wakulla Animal Hospital is here to keep your dogs, cats, and pocket pets healthy! We serve the needs of animalss in Crawfordville, Tallahassee, Woodville, Sopchoppy, and surrounding areas. We provide the best and most comprehensive pet health care in the area.

We are a companion animal veterinarian practice that treats a variety of animals! Our veterinarians Dr. Faith Hughes, Dr. Linda Chalker, Dr. Julie O'Brien, and Dr. Patricia Dileo work closely with our support staff to bring you the best possible experience from the moment you walk through out doors!

Continuing education is a big part of our hospital's culture; we know how important it is to keep abreast of the latest literature and techniques. Our pet owners are our friends, and their pets are treated like family. Please feel to browse our website for more information!

Local Medical Issues

There are numerous local medical issues that can impact your pet's health and require your attention throughout the year. For example, heartworm can affect both cats and dogs. It is transmitted by mosquitoes, which thrive in our region, so it can be a serious cause for concern. Our winter temperatures do not get cold enough to kill mosquito eggs, so it's a year-round risk.

The same is true for flea and tick infestations and intestinal parasites, each of which poses a problem in any season. And finally, contrary to what you'd expect, allergies are a year-round issue. Many pets suffer from skin and ear allergies, the signs of which include scratching, redness in the ears, and "scaly" skin.

VCA Wakulla is here to help! Visit us today to ensure that your pet is living their happiest, healthiest life.
